Student Session

A special student session is being planned on Saturday, November 14, 2015, for local high school students who want to learn more about music therapy as a career. The Kansas City area has a strong music therapy presence, with both UMKC and KU offering degree programs, as well as several others in the region.

The day will begin with a Music Therapy 101 presentation, then the students will be able to attend conference sessions before reconvening for lunch with local music therapists and professors. Cash lunch will be available on-site. Music educators and parents/guardians of interested high school students are also welcome. This is recommended for sophomores and above.
