We now have 45 days until the Opening Session of the 2015 AMTA national conference in Kansas City. The regular registration deadline is coming up on October 7, so register now before prices increase. Even if you’ve already registered for conference, you can still add CMTEs. Remember, there are five CMTEs that are FREE to 2015 AMTA members – we all need CMTEs, so why not take advantage of this great benefit?

There have been two changes in the CMTE offerings:

• CMTE J.  You Can Uke, More Skill, More Fun – The presenter has changed from Marcy Marxer to Karen Jasko, MS, MT-BC.

• CMTE L.  Previously advertised as “Explore Songwriting” with Cathy Fink,  has now changed to “Music Speaks: Effective Songwriting Strategies with Insight from a Parent and Live Performance,” presented by Angela Neve, M.M., MT-BC with Andrea Moriarty & Reid Moriarty.

AMTA has released a Preliminary Program Addendum. It includes more information on CMTE objectives & presenters, the Trending Topics series (new this year!), Research Poster Session, and more. The final program will be made available a few days before the conference at www.musictherapy.org.
