This differs from the NMT training in that we will not be teaching specific interventions, only the Academy can do that. This CMTE is designed to provide additional information and resources regarding up to date research, intervention adaptation for different populations, musicianship within NMT, implementing NMT programs, and what the future holds for NMT. I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any other questions!

Best,
Brian

There are more specifics in the Preliminary Program Addendum (http://www.musictherapy.org/assets/1/13/Addendum_Preliminary_Program_9-25-15.pdf), including learner objectives and presenter biographies. I will also see if one of the presenters can elaborate on how this CMTE can build on what you learned in NMT training.

I just completed the NMT training back in May and I was wondering what the main difference is between the training and this CMTE session. Would you be able to provide some more details, please? Thank you!
