We spoke with Dr. Miller about this seminar:

Tell us something that makes your CMTE unique or different.

This CMTE is unique in that workshop participants will gain hands on experience improvising with tones generated in real-time by another participant’s physiology.

What kind of information will attendees be walking away with?eric_miller

Attendees walk away with knowledge of physiological measures used in bio-guided music therapy and an experience in shaping a music therapy environment in real-time based on physiological response… that can be shared in music therapy treatment settings, hospitals, clinics and research labs.

Why is this topic of interest to you?

I am fascinated by the integration of biofeedback principles with music therapy. I have been Board-certified in music therapy for 20 years, and Board-certified in Biofeedback for 18 years.  In 2011 I wrote a book entitled Bio-guided Music Therapy published by Jessica Kingsley of London.  I currently coordinate the David Ott lab for Music and Health at Montclair State University.
